Eyebrows
What
is Browplasty?
Browplasty
is surgery to lift the eyebrows to their normal position. The methods
to lift the eyebrow include the temporal hairline incision, forehead
crease incision, and endoscopic technique. In the temporal hairline
approach, an incision is concealed along the hairline, which leaves
a faint, nearly invisible line. This procedure is the preferred
technique in females due to quicker recovery time and fewer side
effects.
The mid-forehead approach is used more often in males since the
incision blends in with the existing normal forehead lines. The
endoscopic technique is accomplished with small incisions behind
the hairline. This procedure is particularly useful when trying
to raise the inner portions of the eyebrow or reduce horizontal
brow lines.
