Frequently Asked Questions on L.O. Eye Care’s Operations during COVID-19

All of our 11 locations are now back open and are ready to see you! You may be wondering if it is safe to visit our office. We are answering some common questions regarding our operations and your care during COVID-19 crisis. You can also click here to read more.

1. Are you practicing social distancing and how?

We have implemented social distancing measures throughout all of our facilities including modifying our schedules, limiting number of patients inside the building, and signage and barriers in heavily trafficked and common areas. Optical services are currently by appointment onl; Optical curbside delivery is also available.

2. How are you restricting the number of patients in your office at a time?

No visitors are allowed inside the building unless necessary for your care. We have also implemented a virtual waiting room by asking patients to notify our staff when they arrive and stay in their vehicle until we are ready for them to come into the office.

3. Are you spacing out the waiting area seating?

We have reduced the number of seating and have spaced out all the chairs six feet apart.

4. Are you screening patients and/or taking temperature?

We are screening all patients, visitors and staff with questions to prior to proceeding into our facilities. Several of our locations are taking temperatures as well.

5. What if I can’t wear a mask or face covering?

In adhering to the state order and guidance from the CDC, we require all patients, visitors and staff to wear a face mask or covering at all times inside our facilities. We understand there are limitations and health conditions that may prevent you from wearing a mask/covering, so please let us know prior to your appointment and the physician can provide guidance on how to proceed with your care.

6. Is your staff wearing masks and/or gloves?

Our staff are required to wear a face mask or covering at all times. Staff is also wearing additional protective equipment such as gloves and face shields to keep patients and themselves safe when providing care.

7. Will l have to use the Check-In Kiosks?

Our self-service kiosks can help limit person-to-person interaction, thus potentionally reducing the risk of transmission of disease or virus between staff, patients and visitors. Our kiosks are wiped down frequently and we also provide and encourage using hand santizer before and after use. If you need assistance, we have receptionists available to help check you in as well.

8. Will any of your new measures increase my wait time?

We understand your time is important and we appreciate your patience.  We have implemented additional protocols and have adapted to keep your appointment going in a timely manner.

10. Are you disinfecting all of your eyeglasses you have in the optical department?

All of our eyeglasses in our optical department is being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected frequently and after any contact.
